About Laura

Laura Smutz, PA-C, joined Dermacare of Rancho Bernardo’s medical staff in late 2021 and has proven herself to be an invaluable asset to the Dermacare team. Laura holds a BS from the University of Georgia and a Physician Assistant, MPA from Eastern Virginia Medical School. In the years that have passed since receiving her license, Laura has dedicated her career to exceptional patient care and gaining intimate knowledge of facial anatomy. Her impressive experience ranges from CT, ENT and facial/plastic surgery, making her an excellent resource for Dermacare’s medical providers to collaborate with and learn from.

Laura’s extensive surgical experience, knowledge of facial anatomy, and passion for exceptional patient care helps her to craft customized treatment plans that carry high-satisfaction rates and a loyal patient base.

Laura loves being active and enjoying sunny San Diego weather. In her spare time, you can find her working out on her Peloton, going for a run, practicing hot yoga, rooting for the Georgia Bulldogs, and spending time with her husband and their two children.
