Needless to say, as a baby boomer nurse working in the skin care industry, I find myself very conscious of the appearance of my skin. Growing up in San Diego and being an ocean/sun lover in the day of using baby oil and iodine—well, you can imagine the sun damage I’d acquired over a lifetime. I was especially self conscious of the brown spots on my arms and hands, when Dr. Birchall suggested IPL treatments. I was amazed at how dramatic the results were even after the first treatment, and by 3 treatments most of the sun damage was literally gone! I can’t believe how much that affected how I feel about my appearance, as I always thought of myself as someone who wanted to “grow old gracefully”, but since there is something so safe, simple and effective that can be done for sun damage—well, why not? Now I can authentically and enthusiastically recommend this procedure for anyone who wants to reduce the appearance of brown spots and sun damage, and I love to see their excitement when they experience the results.
